Zaman dahulu kala, ada tiga orang Bani Israil. Orang yang pertama berkulit belang (sopak), yang kedua berkepala botak, dan yang ketiga buta. Allah ingin menguji ketiga orang tersebut. Maka Dia mengutus kepada mereka satu malaikat.

Malaikat mendatangi orang yang berpenyakit sopak (Si Belang) dan bertanya kepadanya, “Sesuatu apakah yang engkau minta?”

Si Belang menjawab, “Warna yang bagus dan kulit yang bagus serta hilangnya dari diri saya sesuatu yang membuat orang-orang jijik kepada saya.”

Lalu malaikat itu mengusapnya dan seketika itu hilanglah penyakitnya yang menjijikkan itu. Kini ia memiliki warna kulit yang bagus. Kemudian malaikat itu bertanya lagi kepadanya, “Harta apa yang paling engkau sukai?”

Orang itu menjawab, “Onta.”

Akhirnya orang itu diberikan seekor onta yang bunting seraya didoakan oleh malaikat, “Semoga Allah memberi berkah untukmu dalam onta ini.”

Kemudian malaikat mendatangi si Botak dan bertanya kepadanya, “Apakah yang paling engkau sukai?”
